Hello all!
Andrea here, this week I will be continuing where I left off last week with my Jaclyn Hill Palette reviews. This time I want to talk about the Armed and Gorgeous Palette. As I said last time, I will play with each palette a few times and give you guys my honest thoughts. This is the second palette I will review (first one was Bling Boss). I have uploaded pictures of the makeup looks I wore this week, also the palette itself and swatches I did on my arm. So let’s start the rundown.

Initial swatches
I was disappointed in this palette. In the picture below you can see every eyeshadow I swatched. Even though they look pretty on my arm, the mattes were chalky and left a lot of fallout and one of the three shimmers was just glitter. It left almost no pigment, just some shimmer specs. The frost on the far right was okay, though it did bunch up on my arm swatch and when I tried to use it as an inner corner highlight (that look did not make the cut). So overall my verdict on the initial swatches are C+ at best.

Texture of Eyeshadow
As I stated before the mattes were very chalky with a finger swatch, I felt that when I went in with a brush it was so much worse than a finger swatch. The powder went everywhere. But the mattes were at least decently pigmented. I was a bit shocked at how these colors went on, I had high expectations because the Bling Boss palette was pigmented, blendable and easy to work with, which was a shock since the color scheme for that palette was purple (getting a good purple eyeshadow is hard)! While these were average at best, don’t even get me started at how hard that green was to work with. The color pay off and the subdued shimmers made this palette for me a hard pass.

Final Thoughts
Would you believe me if I told you those three eye looks I chose were from 9 looks I tried to do with this palette. These three were the only one’s I was slightly proud of. I tried doing a smokey olive green all matte look which was a fail because the shadow would move and would not blend, I also tried a burnt orange look that also was a complete fail for similar reasons. As I said on the Bling Boss palette, the packaging is beautiful, I like that is has a mirror, but I don’t think this palette is worth it. I give it a 4/10. I do not recommend, you can find a better palette with similar colors elsewhere.
